Among several methods, performance testing tools or techniques are used to evaluate how efficiently the systems handle different phases or events. Any automated performance testing tools as such are not used to determine efficiency of the system.

Pre-requisite to the usage of performance testing tools, functional testing is conducted mostly depending on clients’ requirements, like unit testing which is done when a single program or a segment is tested. As part of performance testing tools, load testing is done by incrementing number of users, data volume etc.
